Soca Divettes performing at Vocool December 2015

“We love music because it is our source of joy! It rejuvenates, energises and awakens our spirit in a way nothing else can and we believe that music has the power to touch EVERYONE in this way, whatever the Genre and regardless of Age, Race or Gender…. Music transcends EVERYTHING!”
This female London based trio have been carving a career in the Soul, Reggae, Soca & Pop genres for over a decade. Their collective portfolio boasts an array of established singers & musicians, producers, TV appearances and events, as well as working for prominent organisations such as The Association of British Calypsonian/Carnival Village for the past ten years.  Collectively and individually they can be heard doing background vocals on numerous releases from prominent artists such as Joe Cocker and Alison Moyet to name but a few.  Their ‘Live Performances’ with noted singers from the diverse genres of Urban Music includes some much loved and respected names in the field.
They released their 3rd single entitled ‘Soca Jumbie’ in 2013, which soon became an audience favourite as it began to kick up a musical storm throughout the Carnival season.  The song is now available in a ‘road mix’ and ‘club mix’ format, the latter of which has since been included on a compilation EP entitled ABC 21st Anniversary which marks 21 years of the organisation bringing Live Calypso & Soca music to its audiences worlwide.  Look out for the Soca Divettes and their unique blend of dynamism, vitality and song.
